Pantone Colours – The Last 5 Years

What colour to choose, be it to paint anything, from a front room, to your bedroom, or buying a new dress, or suit, or necklace, or pair of shoes, is something we have to consider all the time.

On a subconscious level, colour has the amazing ability to make us feel certain things, remember certain times in our lives, associate with people and events that we may not have thought of in years!

In 2000, the Pantone Colour Institute created the Pantone Color of the Year as a way to inspire art and design in all of its forms for the upcoming year. The colour experts at Pantone make their pick based on “what is needed in our world today.”

So for the last 22 years, not only does the Pantone Institute release, to much anticipation, it’s colour choice, or as twice in it’s history, choices, but it also aims to align the mood of the whole planet with why this colour is chosen! It is quite intense reading at times, but make no mistake, you will see this colour work it’s way through to EVERYTHING, from home furnishings, to fashion, to all things retail and into our psyche!!!

Here for your delectation, I have pleasure in presenting the last 5 years of colour……….
